What I'm Loving Wednesdays with Jamie

Hey guys this is the first time I've ever linked up with any other blog, but this particular one I enjoy reading. Thanks Jaime

*What I'm loving on this Wednesday is that today is the last day of Vacation Bible School. I have been teaching the sweetest and not so sweet 3rd and 4th graders for the past 2 days. I have really enjoyed it and it's most definitely been an eye opening experience.

Myself with some of the kiddos from our congregation.

So School teachers...I APPRECIATE all you do. My 3 days will never compare to a whole school year. So thank you.

* I am loving the reflection of the talk I had with one of my best friends last night. We are both in our mid twenties and somewhat in a bind. When it seems like everyone around us are getting married and having babies...it seems like we are 2 steps behind. But we just reminded one another that everything happens a different pace. We have to be patient and trust that God will fulfill our every needs when he's ready. I love you H.

*I'm loving my sweet little Pecca.

*I'm loving my life as single, independent, educated, classy, fun loving 25 year old. :)

Facebook: where the lames live

Here lately I've been noticing a trend on Facebook. It's guys who just do the most up most, unnecessary, annoying, and confusing things and quite frankly..IT'S GETTING ON MY NERVES.

So men out there..please take the hint and don't participate in the following:

1. Air out all your relationship (or lack thereof) drama through your status
2. If a cutie like myself sends you a message, please write back..asap preferably.

Now the whole basis of this blog is for me vent about the random things in my life..so here goes.

Bestfriend's Jealously

Okay so I love my bestfriends toooooooo death! (bloop) and I swear the only time I will be truly jealous of any of them is when :
A. They find an amazing, sexy, educated, well rounded, family oriented, successful and father to be kind of guy before I do and gets married. I will be standing right beside her as a bridesmaid looking like this

or

B. She gets a surprise visit from the sexiest man alive! A good friend of her surprises her all the way from New York (please keep in mind we live in TN.) After weeks of texting about coming down she always assumed he was joking, but NOPE...he walked right into her job and surprised her. Now mind you, It's Wednesday and I'm attempting to get closer to the good Lord during bible study when I look down on at my phone to a text that reads:

"Why did _____ just walk in!!! Omg he wasn't lying I'm freaking out!!!! Damn he look good as hell and I just started my period! FML!!!

She brought him by my place so I could meet him. I don't know what he was wearing but the smell of him lingered in my apartment for hours!!!! (P.S...if you read this, please ask him what he was wearing, so that when I find a man...I can pour the whole bottle on him k thanks. xoxo)

Bless her....I won't go into any further details. I will just leave it to your imagination.

A big ol update: Yes, it's called slacking

So, where do I begin? Well first I apologize to any of those who actually read my blog. I mean, with only 2 post thus far...I highly doubt I have any followers, but if I do..mad prompts to you.

Update:
I just got back from gorgeous Tampa, Flordia. My college roommate/good friend got married to the love of her life. They have been together for 7 years and the wedding was amazing and I wish them nothing but the best. I've never been to a Catholic wedding before and I must say that I was truly amazed by the little fold out knee pad things under the pews (it's the small things.)  The wedding was last Friday July 15 and since it fell on a weekend I decided to make it a mini vacation. I flew out on Thursday (Never schedule a 5:30am EVER again) and came back to Tennessee on Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and since I traveled alone I was able to enjoy some "me time" and reflect on the upcoming chapters in my life aka GRADUATE SCHOOL. Yes, I meant to add that I am officially a graduate student. I start my master's program next month. I had my program interview last Wednesday and was accepted shortly afterwards. Since I already work at the university my schooling is paid for. :) That's a blessing for sure:

Here are some of the highlights of my trip:

1. The view from the bride's hotel room:

I absolutely fell in love with this view overlooking the bay.

2. The beach!!

I got a rental car (1st time experience) on Saturday and drove the 40 minutes down to Clearwater, FL. The beach was so beautiful and the water was just right. I stopped along the way and took pictures on the bay. It was just an overwhelming feeling of independence to just get up and go! I love my life (as crazy as it may seem) I wouldn't trade it for anything. I was jamming out to Lil Wayne's "How to Love" song on Courtney Campbell Causeway. Made me think of HHR (THE EX) when I heard these lyrics:

See you had a lot of moments that didn’t last forever
Now you in the corner tryna put it together
How to love
How to love

See you had a lot of crooks tryna steal your heart
Never really had luck, couldn’t never figure out
How to love
How to love
-Lil Wayne-How to Love

3. The Sunset! (yes, still the beach)

I was researching attractions in Clearwater before I left and came across this event called Sunsets at Pier 60.
So to my luck I ended up right beside the pier when I parked. I paid my 50 cent to go through and just sat on a bench, enjoyed the view and wrote in my journal. Had some small talk with the local fisherman. I think I might have been bad luck because when I looked up...they all had moved. :( It was fun while it lasted.

4. The Hottie at the airport!!

So I love moments when you see a guy and you immediately think, "OMG, he is hot and he is looking at me!" Well that happened while I was at the Atlanta airport waiting for my connecting flight. As I was enjoying my corndog nugget which were delicious I must say. Well I kept glancing back to see if he was still there. I noticed he was sitting in the gate area I was so he was obviously flying into Nashville too. Long story short...as I was rushing to baggage claim I heard a voice beside me say, "You rushing to your connecting flight?" As I turned I immediately thought, "OMG there he is and OMG he's talking to me and OMG he had an accent (very sexy!)" We had a short chit chat and decided to exchange facebook info. He sent me a message later on that night saying that it was nice to meet me. Oh the excitement of new friends!

He kind of reminds of Rick Ross
Plus he is from the Virgin Islands (Officially jealous)

 The dis-Highlights of my trip:

1. I got STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR!
Fortunately I didn't panic I just simply called the hotel lobby and said calmly, " Hi, I'm stuck in your elevator and if you don't send someone up here asap I'm going to freak out!" What seemed like 20 minutes was actually 5 minutes. They came to rescue me and I still managed to make it on time for the wedding :)

I never imagined I'd have to push the famous EMERGENCY BUTTON!! But I rang that puppy like none other!

Ps..When I called the front desk to report my emergency, the bitch put me on hold!

2. My hotel was Shady!

It was in bad neighborhood and my room was stanky as heck! I had to walk over to the gas station to buy incents to help the smell out.GEEEEZZZ. I most definitely filed a complaint on the company website. IT was just right down ridiculous!

Fortunately I didn't see any cockroaches but I wouldn't doubt that some where hiding and watching my every move!

3. Black People CAN GET SUNBURNED!!

Yes, apparently I am ignorant to the fact that even though I have gorgeous brown skin...I can still feel hell's wrath on it. Must have been those 8 hours I spent on the beach with NO SUNSCREEN. My mom said, "You must think you're white!" HaHa..no, but I learned that black people can get sunburned and the shit hurts!

At least they had umbrellas.
