I made the big switch from a keyboard phone (Blackberry) to a touch screen (Samsung Continum) and booooyyyy I'm telling you the first day was rough. I'm normally a pretty fast texter but nope...not with this touch screen business. "St." says I'll be a pro by Monday. We'll see. Any who, I love all it's little features and I can barely get any work done because I'm too busy playing with it. Check it out..
So this weekend I will be heading to Atlanta, Georgia with a group of high school students. As a chaperon I will be assisting my dad who is the sponsor of the Black History Club. I was a member of this very same club when I was in high school and have fortunately already experienced this upcoming visit. The purpose of the trip is purely educational. We will visit historical black sites such as the Civil Rights Museum and Martin Luther King Jr's birth home. I hope the kids take something from this educational trip, because at one time...we weren't all created equal, and unfortunately even today, we still aren't, but we've surely come a long way. . I give all the honor and glory to Martin Luther King Jr. and other's who followed him and believed in his dream.

"Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals." -Martin Luther King, Jr.
